| In early 2010 members of the DBG met with Andrew Thompson from the Community Woodlands Association at a meeting of the DWPA. It became clear that the CWA would be able to fund training courses via their Skills Development Scheme. This in turn was funded by the Scottish Rural Development Programme and also funded by The Hugh Fraser Foundation and The Roberston Trust. | ![]() |
The DBG set about making arrangements for a training event that would allow members of the public to come along to the bodging site set up by the DBG in Dunnottar woods for a two day training event in April 2010. The participants on the course would be introduced to green wood working by means of a practical, hands on, course that would allow them to start to learn the skills involved in the ancient craft of bodging. Photographs taken during the weekend training course are included below: | |
